Speaking of beauty, Scottsdale sits in the Sonoran Desert at the foot of the McDowell Mountains immediately east of Phoenix. From our hotel – look to the west and you will see Phoenix, a large urban center of 5.4M people. To the North is the Tonto National Forest. The McDowell Mountains to the east, and the Salt River to the south.<\/p>\n
This town of 250,000 people is home to nearly 60 golf courses and an equal number of art galleries.<\/p>\n
